Yes, I was wondering if Old Dux by accident pulled the plug on the usual banter here in the HWH mess so I've decided to let you in on a little secret:
We have foour new bunkers on the west coast of Denmark.
Well, they aren't exactly new. When the Boche "visited" this country around the middle of last Century, they constructed a line of defense along the coast of Jutland; the part of this country that is located on top of the continent.
This defensive line consists of hundreds of concrete bunkers, designed to shelter and protect soldiers of the Wehrmacht in the event of an invasion from the sea.
Through sandslides, some very sudden and comprehensive I imagine, four forgotten and until now hidden bunkers appeared out of the sand to the exitement of bunker-enthusiasts a few days ago.
The bunker-mania is soaring to new heights as bottles of ink were found. It has not yet been reported if the ink was in any fit state to survive another 940-odd years, but it seems as if the bunkers are in with a fighting chance of lasting the full millenia.
One shudders to think that if the war had been won by the Axis, society would not have had to endure sub-standard concrete in any housing-blocks or building projects.
