JRT, glad to hear you came through the storm okay. We all had our fingers crossed, Osram was pressing his thumbs also. The loss of that great oak is certainly something to ponder. If that massive wooden entity could have spoken of what it had seen in its huge life, the words would have been well worth hearing.
I too am concerned about SNAFU, having heard that Isabel hit his area quite hard. Come in SNAFU.
What was left of the hurricane when it reached Toronto is not worth mentioning. Thanks to JRT and SNAFU for knocking the stuffing out of it for us. Of course, hundreds of 'cautious' school children in their wisdom stayed home from school, but could be found roaming the streets in the wind and rain. I will be listening to the birding hotlines for sightings of Petrels and whatnot.
