Glad to read your gig was an easily predicted triumph. LOL. Thank goodness for hearing aids (you call them deaf aids I think). That quote could have been much worse. He didn't say that the occasion was the first time he appreciated being so hard of hearing.

Back in the day our audiences used to beg me to sing so low. No, not solo, so low. So low they couldn't hear me. Speaking of which I recently found a very old photo of us playing a gig back in the 60s. The large receptical seen so beautifully decorating the foreground was placed there for those attending without a major hearing defect to throw up in.

Glad you're OK. Keep yer head down because it ain't over until the clouds slow down and go away. We have fire ants here too. They came here some time ago from down your way. Btw, thanks for sending them. The ones I've talked to seem to think they weren't appreciated in Texas.

The kids around here seem to love tormenting them by throwing a stone onto their hill and watching them boil out looking for a fight. It is not something I recommend doing. Get one or two up your pants leg or down in a sock and they quickly grab your attention.
