My short post was not meant to be critical of the aircraft incorporated into the CoD 'stable' - rather to draw attention to the unlikely situations shown in a historical BoB context. They were, of course, presented purely to demonstrate those particular types mentioned. I'm sure they will be put to the use they were intended as the game is modded to take in additional periods (such as the blitz) and theatres of the European and Middle Eastern campaigns. No doubt, those particular types were in RAF and Coastal Command service during 1940 and the Gladiator had been engaging the Luftwaffe from a frozen lake in Norway weeks before the German push into France and the Low Countries on May 10th.
It is going to be an engrossing and fascinating experience to follow all the developments that subsequently follow the initial release.
