I was afraid you were having problems. I hope it is just IRQ or driver conflicts. Something that can get straightened out. I plugged a Network Interface card in once that conflicted with the sound card (which was an add-on, too). Sound would not work. Jumped thru hoops trying to figure it out, and now cannot remember what I did to do it. I pray it will work out.
