Just before I dash out - this pic of a two-part trim tab on a SpitIVe. The massive amount of power driving the five blade prop produced torque-to-die-for or die-because-of-torque. Whatever setting of the main trim tab, some part of it would always be at an angle to the airflow, of course. Never seen that before, I must admit.
Looks like somebody pinched the nav-light lens.
P.S., Still waiting for emergency allocation of replacement aircraft. Any day now...
