Perhaps by getting in contact you can also identify some of his mates? A friend of my son's is putting together a tribute to his late dad who served for many years in the US Navy. He is planning to put a model of his dad's ship, his citations and medals, along with a flag and his photo in a large, custom built shadow box. I'm looking forward to seeing that. Keep me posted if there are future developments regarding your dad's memorabilia.
