This pic I took at Hendon about 20 years ago. This 109E-3 was damaged and made a wheels up landing at Manston while being escorted in by Spits on 27 Nov 1940 - after the Battle of Britain. CR42 at background. Unfortunately, I have lost the Defiant pic, the aircraft which was actually flown by a Polish night fighter unit.
