The weather being quite nice if slightly windy the regime for yesterday and today has meant 107 kms of biking. Today was the year's first occasion where I used my vintage steel bike. I like to spare the vintage bikes the salt, rain and general dirt of which there is a lot during the winter season. The good weather is expected to last the entire weekend.
After having enjoyed a good pasta dinner suitable of a Tour de France rider and while waiting for the tea, I remember back to last weekend where we switched to summer daylight savings time and how suddenly the world anew burst into light. Yes, we've had a good week after a March which rained away with more than 100 mm of rain during the month.
I also visited a small town last Saturday called Rørvig, there's a small harbour since a ferry ride can take you across from Hundested (which literally means dogs place) in 25 minutes. Hopefully Google Maps whill help clarify the situation
Your mentioning of 633 Squadron Roger, made me remember that there is another movie featuring Mossies as well. Mosquito Squadron stars David MacCallum and is often regarded as the poor man's 633. The music suite with accompanying images can be seen here
One thing these two have in common with the movie The Battle of Britain have in common are excellent music scores, the scores for 633 and the BoB (with the exception of the Battle suite by William Walton) being written by Ron Goodwin, and the one for 633 according to the man himself being inspired by an idea of using 6 bars and 3 bars in the theme.
