That reminds of the time Olga caught you with the local safety warden in the shed behind the Brigadier's quarters. She was doing her duty checking the boxes of flares stored there. I'm not sure what you were doing. Olga seemed to be suspicious as well.
It has never been made clear as to what happened that dark evening when that shack blew to pieces. Was it Olga's cigar or your filter tipped gasper that set off the first flare? All I know is I saw throw open the door as if to leave in a hurry just as the shack lit up and went KABOOM!
You got out alright,,,,they found you 40 feet up a pine tree. Olga was found sitting in the wreckage all soot covered. It took weeks for the singed hair to regrow, but otherwise, she was in good shape, just a bit hard of hearing. The safety warden was found late next day clinging (some said cringing) behind the Brigadier's brick chimney where she had landed after the first bounce.
How many days was it that it took you to replace the broken windows in the Brigadier's residence? All who saw the new flare repository agreed you did a wonderful job rebuilding it to the new safety standards. Wasn't that the safety warden the Brigadier placed in charge to make sure it came up to RAF building codes?
What were you up to in that shack? The warded seems to have a grudge against you for some reason. I heard you had to build it at least thrice before she was satisfied. Bad form, old boy, the way she let you get nearly finished each time before she mentioned it wouldn't do.
MG:
Have you heard of the ancient Jelling stones? Have you visited them? There was a recent finding way down at the bottom of one side hidden from view until the ground shifted a bit. I couldn't believe the photos. Here is one showing the newest runes discovered just this week.
I believe it must have been one of you ancient ancestors that carved those new runes. One because of the airplane propellers. But what cinched it for me were the two 10th century bicycles.
