LOL! Only a fair skinned Dane with snow still on his roof would think 70 degrees F. is "very warm". Of course such things are subjective. I suppose someone from Death Valley, USA might think 90 degrees F. was "cool".
All that "extra" stuff crowded in to bilk the unwashed multitudes would certainly add a rather seedy carnival-like atmosphere to an otherwise enjoyable experience. Oh well, at an air show most eyes will be turned to the sky. Were you aware that conversly Tivoli was the original inspiration for Disneyland because of its beauty and cleanliness?
Certainly fire was a constant horror for early fighter pilots without parachutes. I think Lufberry suffered from the fear of falling in flames as well and in fact that is the way that he died. I do not even want to imagine the terror of fluttering down in agony from angels 10 seated inside a burning canvas cockpit, the sound of machine gun bullets cooking off one by one ringing in my crisping ears with a red hot pistol barrel pressed hard against my temple.
Day after day, mission after mission the stress of combat took its toll on those young men. Such impudent behavior was their way of taunting their most unrelenting and invincible foe, fate. For brave men of action that was their only way of grappling with the fighter pilot's worst and most pitiless enemy of all.

The northwest US and certainly Canada have never been noted for an arid climate, yet it must have its many pleasures for so many very smart folks choose to live there.
LOL. I like your comparison of your weather forecast to a Monty Python sketch. Our weather forecasts last summer were also redundant to the point of farce in that every day the high temp would be 90 to 95 degrees with no appreciable rain for two solid months. That was indeed unusual but might be repeated this year. Climate change is a real pain and with climate change in mind; perhaps you may have some hope for radically different forecasts within the next decade or so?
We discuss it but can do little about our weather. This is probably a good thing or every home would have something different happening above it all the time. Left up to our grand kids it would probably be snowing ice cream or raining cookies right now.
