If only we had Mr. Tom Cruise or Mr. Ben Aflak back then to win the war for us the rest of our boys might have just staid here at home thousands of miles away where the nasty "European" war couldn't touch them. Better for you chaps I guess and certainly better for most of them.

Better for Britain because the inflation and birth rates there would have been much lower and better for the US soldiers because there wouldn't be so many bone white crosses posted over thousands of US graves in Britain and all over Europe today.

Of coarse there was that spot of bother to settle with the pesky Japanese. Perhaps you could have eventually spared either Cruise or Aflak to sort that out for us and then, presto, Bob's your uncle, and there would be no need even for the atom bomb. :rolleyes:
