I just viewed an interesting video on YouTube. It is about one of our most beautiful fighter aircraft designs IMHO. The delightful and long-lived F104 designed by that prolific and foresighted designer Kelly Johnson. The craft was only in US service for two years but saw long service in the air forces of many other countries for decades. The last starfighter rolled off the assembly line in 1982! A new breed of lightweight fighter designed to beat the MiGs of the Korean war, the F104 was fast and had a high ceiling. Watch the video if, like me, you like the Starfighter. There is an interesting video on the F4 Phantom 2 as well plus others I have not yet watched.

How nice it is not to picture you all cringing there waiting for another limerick. Thanks to good MG: I will not be posting one for a bit. Last I heard he was still taking bows and free drinks in the HWH Hall officers lounge. Wait, LeRoy just informed me that MG is no longer taking either bows or free drinks. He is, in fact, lying comatose under a table in the HWH officers lounge. Worry not, your benefactor is OK or at least LeRoy reports that he is unconscious but smiling broadly.
