Veterans day is a special holday.
Neglected.
As have are many wounded (body and mind)
that returned have from duty.
Come home and the Defense Department treats them like used up trash.

This infuriates me!

Both political parties have treated wounded veterans like they are vermin.
Cripples and mental misfits.
Close the door
We don't need you anymore.

I am disgusted.

Lucky for me, my son enlisted Navy and not as a
Marine or Soldier Rifleman.

1972, I wanted to be an artilleryman.
First time rver my father shouted at me.
"Are you crazy! Cannon fodder!! You are going to die!!"
Enlisted Navy as per my father's request so I could tear up my draft card.
Just as he did in 1944.
