In the face of mounting criticism, the train operators have rushed to defend their deaf, dumb and mute friends. They say that the ticket machines are in fact easy to operate, but they would say that wouldn't they?
Bewilderment is the initial reaction by first time users and even the more experienced travellers voice complaints over the unreliability and the difficulties experienced.
The operators have been told by the Government transport authority to simplify operation...or they will get a stiff letter on premium grade cardboard stating how displeased the Government is about it all...so there!
