Christmas shopping nonsense is already gearing up in our supermarkets with placards and early offers appearing with a monotonous regularity.
We haven't even had our last getaway yet. That will be next weekend with six of us and two doggies off on another trip to the fair isle of Anglesey. We are enjoying something of an Indian summer this week but it will be expecting too much for it to last throughout the month.
