I'm pleased that you liked the poorly constructed story about bathing our rowdy bunch of pets and that you are yourself mercifully spared such tribulations due to the Derbyshire climate.
JayDee (the easiest to catch but hardest to hold)received a sudsy bath and proper nail trimming this very evening and is at this precise moment sulking somewhere under his favorite piece of furniture. Sometime during the wee hours of the morning he will get his just revenge by climbing into our bed and waking me from a sound sleep by trying to gnaw off several of my smaller toes. Speaking of which, have I told you that my suffering wife defines a sound sleep for me as one in which the sound of my sleeping keeps everyone else wide awake?
