Roger, The only thing I could find about France and the March 27th was that it was the birthday of Louis 17 and I very much doubt that the French would play the Marseillaise to commemorate that occasion. I enjoyed your recounting of the time when you passed yourself of as French exchange students. As youths, we rarely realize how quickly a joke that seems hilarious at the time can backfire almost instantly and become an embarrassing liability.
