Folks,

Old Dux:

Higher traffic is a good problem for SimHQ to have but it can be self-limiting. Increasing traffic slows things down up to the point you start to irritate and then lose visitors. Well, it sounds to me like someone very close to us is in dire need of some more bandwidth, servers or somethin'.

As for the awards program, I am this very day working on a color rendering of the beautiful DFWC. As it stands today there is the plain vanilla variety DFWC generally awarded first. After that, should a DFWC recipient continue to distinguish himself, the Ruby Swords, Silver propellers, gold stars and diamond asterisks may be added and in that order.

Added to all this will be several bars of special distinction. As soon as I finish the work now in progress I shall e-mail a copy to all our recent DFWC recipients.

Due to the exceptionally splendid body of work done by our first slate of award recipients, and in the spirit of celebration due to our 1000th post, all of you received swords, propellers, stars, and asterisks at once. See how fortunate you were?

Here are just two of many important rules attendant to the reception and display of this fine award:

1) Never wear the DFWC whilst swimming. (The award is made of finest quality lead and is quite heavy. You will sink like a fish wrapped round an anvil.)

2) Never display your temper while wearing this award even though sorely tempted so to do. (Often when entering a room full of people of the lower classes, some individuals may be seen not bowing, curtseying or genuflecting in a properly respectful manner due your lofty rank. This can be understandably quite irritating.)

2A) When agrivated and provoked in this manner you may, of course, remove your medal, place it in a secure location, return to the room, show all the temper you then wish and thrash hell out of them.

SNAFU:

You survived the HE111 ride? Tell the truth, we flamed your butt, right?
