Yeah, the race was a bit of a joke, and as much as i respect the tradition, Monaco's days have run their course. I was thinking yesterday that what they should do is have all teams build a monaco car, a small, 2.5 liter naturally aspirated thing, super lightweight and small enough that they could drive side by side through the corners. As long as we have these big F1 cars, Monaco is a poor match.
Not sure Wigean what Merc's plan was, other than hoping to hold out until a red flag, which never came.
