Great race. Brilliant drive from Max, and from Hamilton too. Red Bull won this race on strategy, with a six-second undercut on the first stop. That, I think, won the race. Of course there was plenty to do, but getting track position back after Hamilton's electric start was the difference for me. Honestly I thought Max was going to be hung out to dry in the final five laps, shades of Spain, but he pulled it out of somewhere, keeping Hamilton out of DRS range for most of the final few laps. Nail-biting stuff. Top result for Perez as well, who was never a factor, but did exactly what he needed to do. Very good team result for Red Bull who closed the gap.
Mercedes managed to mitigate it a bit at the death, with Bottas getting past Sainz for sixth, and Hamilton snapping off a fastest lap. Those few points could prove decisive in the end.
Ferrari and McLaren are now even closer for third. Good midfield battle the whole race between those teams. CotA proved capable again of serving up good action, and we saw some banging, and wheel to wheel stuff. That was a fun race to watch.
Now we head to two high altitude tracks, Mexico and Brazil, where Honda could have an edge in the rarified air. That's the prevailing view but we'll have to see about that. Five to go!
