Leclerc on pole from Max and Sainz. Max aborted his final run. Not sure if he has a mechanical issue?

Not ideal for Red Bull, especially with Perez down in fifth. But Red Bull showed they have good pace, and long runs showed they are better on tire deg, so playing the long game I like their chances.

Bottas came through for me once again. he has been great this year.

Aston Martin will be disappointed with both cars out in Q1.

Lando would have made Q3 but was deleted for track limits, Schumi Junior the beneficiary.

Russell fourth and Hamilton sixth. No improvement in position, but a massive improvement in the car this week. They will be a factor. Hamilton outqualified by his teammate again smile

Should be a cracking race!

Edit: Verstappen's problem was a malfunctioning DRS, which rather surprisingly he misinterpreted as a loss of power. Hopefully they can iron that out for tomorrow.
