I am still here. Still researching the internet thing. I am on the expansion list for DSL in my area. I have been told I am good in the area, they just need to run the lines. They gave me no time frame so I am at the mercy of the phone company.(so it could be a couple of years . I have also researched several other options AT&T has a Hot spot option which might be ok for Gaming however to get updates would be difficult. You only get 5gig a month. Plus I am not 100% sure the gaming would work either.
And then there is satilite. Which is probably what I will use between now and when DSL gets in service. Currently I don't even have a PC setup. I haven't found the proper spot for the PC yet... but we are getting there. We are still sort of living out of boxes. I am sure I will be settled before Christmas. After that I will work on the rust that has obviously built up on the Huey.
On a side note, I was home sick Monday and I had an A-10 buzz the house. Normally when they go buy they are low but this pilot must have been trying to beat a wintery mix back to base cuz he was moving faster than I have seen them fly before. He kinda scared the crap out of me. My little dog Rex (miniture Yorkie) just about came unglued. I opened the front door and he took off running snarling and barking in the direction the A-10 had flown. He was gone for some time and I was starting to get worried that he would come home with a Warthog in his mouth. He just loves retrieving stuff.
