I wonder if Shakespeare would have been 'pissed' in his grave when Kurosawa 'pinched' the plot of 'Macbeth' for 'Throne of Blood'.
There's also "Ran" which was based on King Lear. NO ONE adapted Shakespeare into a Japanese context better than Kurosawa.
