Yeah I'm a bit late to the party so it's probably been discussed to death but I haven't posted here for a while so... Sadly I couldn't enjoy this film. I wanted to, the audio and visual teams did an absolutely fantastic job of recreating the look and feel of the original Star Wars, really can't praise them enough. Unfortunately though Rogue wasn't shot like Star Wars, it was shot like JJ Trek/Bourne. Constant camera fast pans, cuts every half second, never able to focus on something long enough to see what is actually going on. I know it's a fast paced film but please Gareth Edwards, watch ESB or ROTJ, that's how you shoot and pace an action/adventure movie. Fast doesn't have to mean confusing. This was just unpleasant to watch but then again I've been thinking that of a lot of recent action films. Writing and acting was ok, didn't really care for the characters though. Nice ending
I'd still give it 3 out of 5. Better than anything Star Wars since Return of the Jedi.
