Been watching some anime lately. Just finished, in order: Avatar: the Last Airbender - I'ts fun but it''s basically a Saturday Morning kids cartoon. Although, for a kids a cartoon it had some great characters and arcs for them.
Trigun - Follows some insurance investigators tracking down Vash the stampede, the human typhoon, the only person to be declared a disaster, though not everything is quite as it seems. It's almost a western in future, wrecked world. Had a great soundtrack as well.
Cowboy Bebop. This was excellent and I would recommend it anyone. Animations were mostly great, clearly they had more budget they used in some episodes and scenes than others, but even at its worst it's good. Music was awesome. Characters were fun. Most of the stories were great and many of them were heavily inspired by other science fiction movies and shows. One was practically a remake of Alien. I'm also sure this was used as inspiration for other science fiction shows and it gives off some Firefly waves with a crew of misfits in a broken down ship and strapped for cash.
