His version of "Hamlet" though from the 90s my daughter has been required to watch by her school in 5th grade and well, I've seen part of it and while highly regarded... is a bit challenging to follow, given he uses the complete, uncut version of the play, ye olde English included.
Ok go ahead and call me "low brow" but I have not seen Brannagh's "Hamlet" but I did see the one with Mel Gibson from 1990 and I enjoyed it quite a bit.
