I was something like 11 or 12 when it first aired, used to watch it with my dad.
Space 1999 was pretty decent TV for the time, and it's possible to get some nostalgia from rewatching it now, as I did a couple of years ago. First season was better than the second. Was Gerry Anderson's foray back into live actors, his previous TV was things like Thunderbirds. His other live-actor production was UFO, stylistically similar to Space 1999.
