DCS' performance is primarily dependent on proc. and gfx card. a GTX980 is decidedly average for today's gamer systems. Replace the i7 with an i5 and nothing will happen to your framerate. Mine is clocked at 3.4 GHz which is LOW. Also, be aware that this is an old generation i7. Win 10Pro or SSD doesn't do anything for improving framerate.

You just said DCS performance is dependent on processor... and then you claim that if you replace the i7 with an i5, nothing will happen. Which one is it?
As for SSD not doing anything, feel free to peruse the ED forums where SSDs are constantly recommended for various "fixes" to some of DCS issues.
The point is -- you laptop specs are anything but average when you bought it and it's anything but average even today. To pretend it isn't to try and prove a point is just weak.
