Doing it often is good, except when you don't have time to study. My general knowledge is suffering from flying too often. Last week I got to fly 6 times with one day off.
Today I planned VFR leg, but weather decided to work against me so I did a local IFR for one hour. That gave me 4 approaches; after take off we did fix to fix to two turns in holding, one full procedures vor-dme to circle to go around, vectors to LNAV DH GPS to missed, vectors to ILS with single engine go around and finally localizer to touch and go. Then we returned home to ILS full stop. Nutz!
