And that's done, picked up RoB yesterday. I watched a couple vids of this fight, against Okina to get the weapon. I also saw a video where a dude ran around a cliffside and Okina got sort of stuck and the player beat him fairly easily by smacking him until he fell off the cliff.

Approaching the church I got invaded and ran past him to leap up on to the broken rocks at the church, thinking I'd be out of reach, but he killed me in like four seconds. Tried again and sprinted for the cliffside I saw in the vid. But I did it so fast that Okina took a more direct route to my position than in the video. As I was waiting for him to appear in front of me I saw some red flash by on the left of the screen as he fell to his death, sailing right over top of me, awarding me the katana without a fight. Nice. Took it to the blacksmith and upgraded it to +9. This blade is superb. And it dovetails so nicely with my build. It's all coming together. Turns out you cannot cast Bloodflame Blade on it and I didn't think so. It has a permanent BB on it anyway.

Before I got that I took out Godskin Noble and Rykard. Rykard could be difficult, but it was easy. Entered the arena and grabbed the Serpent greatsword and then left. Upgraded it to +6 and came back. It has E dex scaling which worried me. But I just used the weapon skill repeatedly and Rykard fell in just a few minutes. Probably not the best use of somber stones, for a one time use, but it sure made the fight easy, and anyway I have no plans to use more at the mo.

I carry Black Bow and Rivers of Blood and those are both at +9 already so I had the stones to spare.
