Wasn't long ago they flat out denied such a version even existed.
Same as Jason flat out denied 777 had anything to do with 1C and the rumored new up coming flightsim (mere weeks later called BoS).
How many in between i have no idea.
Kind of. Jason denied a "free" version of the game, but to be fair it sounded more like no other version of the game was coming out, just the 60-80 dollar one.
I also remember before BoS Jason taking jabs at 1c's water in CLoD/BoM vs the channel map water from 777. Lots of jabs at the company that now are in bed together. I did find that amusing.
