I have no sympathy for Jason or anyone on 1C/777, whether their lives depend on BOSs success or not. They took the EA money promising (Loft) to make a Sim that would invite the new simmer and make the hardcore simmer happy also. Loft ruined things by locking down, delivering sub par content (SP & Campaign) and locking down graphics adjustment. Two out of three of these decisions can easily be reversed, they were working properly and existed in actual game use before the big lock downs. As far as fixing SP & the Campaign in BOS, we'll that is their own fault by even thinking what they produced and put in the finished product would pass as acceptable. On top of this the way 1C/777 and its moderators have treated and talked to their own customers is simply insulting. Locking threads, deleting non conforming threads and trying to strong arm their own view of BOS, as an excellent product and worthy of the IL2 name is simply ludicrous. The reaction they have been receiving is of their own making. Every time I see some statement from anyone on the 1C/777 team, it reminds me that their egos and pride regard me as a stupid consumer. In this one thing they are completely correct, I was absolutely stupid to have given them my money in the fist place. For being so brutally honest I want to thank them, because whether BOS succeeds or not, they will never have to deal with this Stupid customer again, or his hard earned green cash.

A good synopsis...and one I largely agree with....a lot of self inflicted wounds by mgt decisions along with subsequent PR fiascos in the forums
This thing can still survive if for no other reason there is no other viable alternative to it (notwithstanding turning to older titles) in the market (oh for the days when CFS competed with IL2! with EAW in the background...at least there were two players in the market)
BUT....these guys seemed determined at times to cut their nose off in spite of their face
