Exactly a month ago, on Labor Day, after a series of strokes, we had to take our dog Ralphie (our first pet) to an emergency vet and put him to sleep. He lived 14 years with a bad liver (we got him as a 1 year-old abused rescue) which was several years longer than his expected lifespan. Dam...changing thoughts...

Wife joins me today at being 54 (I'm only 5 weeks older) and just received some fantastic work-related news of advancement and a permanent home office. She just wrapped up month-end closing to start a much needed long vacation...and we are outta here!
