I'd be more or less on board, but the USB port requirements are the sticking point for me. Seriously.
Apologies if you're hardware-savvy enough to already be aware of this, but motherboards often have extra USB headers for front panel connections which might not be used in your case.
Otherwise, a $10 PCI card would give you up to four USB 3.0 ports if you've got a spare slot.
