4 USB ports? What is it doing that it needs so much bandwidth and why there's need to be a 2.0 as well as 3.0?

No, you need "The Shocker" accessory for that.
My guess -
1 2.0 for the Xbox controller
1 3.0 for the headset (audio)
1 3.0 for the visor (power)
1 3.0 for the sensor.
