NOBODY dominates like that now. NOBODY.

Last, but not least: if NASCAR is such a bore and a dying sport, then why do we have Patrick Carpentier, Max Pappis, Danica Patrick, Montoya, Hornish, and so many others busting their butts trying to get a full-time NASCAR ride? Because, be it the truck series, Nationwide, or Cup, it's the BEST racing ANYWHERE.

No one is penalizing Jimmy Johnson. But the fact is that people have been tuning out the more he wins. That is not conjecture. It is provable. Also, when Richard Petty and David Pearson were winning, the sport was barely watched.

As for the sport being a bore, that is entirely subjective. However, the greater money in American racing is in NASCAR, not any other form of racing. So, OF COURSE people are going want to race in the sport with the most potential financial gain. It is not because it is the BEST racing ANYWHERE but because it has the best RETURN ON INVESTMENT.
