Here is one way I saw the difference. Get in the Blenny and look at the fuel tank selector wheels. At 1920x1080 'original' textures I can clearly read the writing on each wheel. At 'high' it is barely legible. At 'medium' it is just a meaningless blur of white pixels.

I'm currenly experiencing irregular and random texture loading though...

Yeah I turned it down to high last night when my game started to run really slow, and couldn't tell the difference in quality. Is it me or the longer you are running COD in one setting, the worse the fps get?

Now I'm playing a Brit camp mission and am over water, getting 55fps and turned the textures back to original, no change in fps but i think i can tell the difference in quality now so go figure. Will have to try again over land though.
