Is the U.S. release date still April 19 or hs it been moved up ? And why is the U.S. release date so far behind the others? With most the pre-orders being of the download type, I wouldn't think it would matter that much to have to have different release dates.

The release date is so far back becuase they wanted time to patch the game after initial release. The Russians got to do the last testing, then the Europeans get to check the fixes applied, and there is still time left for another patch before the Americans get it. That way, they can avoid the largest group of whiners. Just imagine what this, and the banana forum would look like if the game was released everywhere at once.

I "preordered" from Just Flight last night. When I got home from work they had sent me a download link and activation code. I downloaded rather quickly, and although I created a secondary steam account in case I ran into problems....it accepted my activation code straight off. Unfortunately the activation is locked into the secondary steam account.

I tried some flying and man it has been a long time since I flew a prop plane. Been playing DCS: A-10c for the past couple of months. I have to tweak my track IR, and find a decent HOTAS setup for CoD. My flight controls seem a bit borked right now but that may be because I never restarted after it updated my MS NET stuff. (for example throttle at half = full throttle)....of course something may be said about it in the manual, but I have yet to read the manual

oh man it's gonna be hard not order this thing twice now (I've already pre-ordered through the ubisoft shop, which of course right now seems like a pretty terrible idea).

20 more days of waiting... it will prove very difficult to resist, I'm sure.

Anyone else got this one to work?

I also wonder if you get a euro to gift you a copy and you are in the states will it work as well?

Bloody Steam is still sayign Not Yet Released. Damned annoying as I had hoped (and the reason I pre-ordered) was to have it pre-loaded. Now it seems it'll be released at 6pm tomorrow night and I'll probably join the queue of steamers waiting for it to download.

When I fire up Steam it gives me a great big pic saying Now Available and then when I click on the Details button it says this game will unlock on April 19 ...

This is a Silly Game that some moron desk jockey/marketing type came up with to squeeze out a few more sales(im not buying the patch story)its insulting and annoying
