Hi Tank-Guys,
I want to know what these fold-out shields are for?

Everytime the Leopard2 is in combat it fold-out these shields.
It`s a schreenshot from DCS:Black Shark.

simple, those are extra side armour plates, but because of the thickness, they're in the way of the engine bay when that is opened. so the germans made them flip-out panels.
on the backside of each plate, there's a small bag for containing repair equipment and such.

Sorry for my ingnorance, but he opens the engine bay in combat? These panels only flip, when the Leo is engaging in combat.

i think that it is a bug. those panels are not supposed to do that.
