This is consistent with my experiences in high profile projects. In the end, the level of press that the public desires puts pressure on politicians, informants, financiers, property owners, with most falling on the archaeologists to locate something which may or may not exist. In the end it keeps the archaeologists and geophysics crews from doing their jobs. Hopefully they will be able to return as there is likely some truth to this story and all they need is just a bit of luck.
