I was referring to an Alb. D-V A.I. and I was watching him through the entire maneuver. He made a steep, banking (not pedal)turn from a slight nose-up attitude and from the time he initiated the turn the distance between our aircraft NEVER increased.

I'd have to assume that I had a significantly greater than two times speed advantage as I was already running flat-out with a slight nosedown attitude when we passed each other. I should have been leaving him in the dust at that point...
