That doesn't make sense (you make sense bu the sim doesn't), and yes, I had the same thing with the 109 radiator. even though I turn the wheel all the way, open the rad fully, it only shows half open in the little blue bar graphic.
Also I recognise the issues with wonky responses from the various levers and wheels in the cockpits. sometimes they seem to bind. I think that part of the time it is because historical facts are being modelled (mixture can only be changed to some extent depending on the throttle setting) but I don't think that accounts for all the weirdness...
