I binge watched episodes 1-6 of the Game of Thrones spin-off A Knight Of The 7 Kingdoms on Netflix.

It's alright I guess, although I think it will have to pick a bit if it wants to wants to last more than a handful of seasons.

We didn’t get to go since my wife had to work. Ah the vagaries of having a spouse who works as a pharmacy manager at a major hospital……

Hopefully this weekend will work out.

Now watching Perry Mason movie series made starting in 1930s -- first movie 1934, second 1935. Finished first two movies.

A very different Perry Mason from the TV series I've watched end-to-end 4+ times (271 episodes each time). Example: Perry has a LARGE law firm with multiple Lawyers and many staff members working for him. Example: Perry "cuts corners" relative to the law to save his innocent clients from Execution. It is believable.

I'll say more when I've finished the series.

I finished the 6 films.

The first 4 had issues. They got sillier and sillier. The actors were not ideal for their roles -- so, there were changes along the way. The face of the Perry Mason actor was okay -- but, his actions weren't.

In the 5th episode they made dramatic changes to the actors, actions, and maturity of the movie. It was much like the TV Perry Mason with Raymond Burr. However, the actor who played Perry did not have the "right face" for the part. Moreover, his sidekicks were miscast "facially" -- they just did not inspire confidence.

In the 6th episode, they changed the cast again. And, the action was more "Perry Mason like". However, the new Perry and some supporting cast were not "facially right".

All in all: Not a recommended series -- except to folks like me who are currently paying attention to Movie history and casting. These are not "Perry Mason" -- though to repeat, the last 2 movies came closer.

Just watched Project Hail Mary. Very enjoyable.

I'm on a roll, going to the cinema twice in less tha a week. Unheard of. Just been to see I Swear. Excellent, well acted, well paced and educational.

Watched it on the Amazon site (free). A 2003 version of the story -- set in the 1890s era.

Good cast -- Sherlock and his Genius Opponent looked every bit the part (in fact, their Genius appearances came up in a conversation -- so it wasn't an accident in casting). Watson's actor was not ideal for the role -- looked too young and brainless -- acted okay. Other actors/actresses were good casting. Very good/appropriate settings. Hit the main points of the original story line and added some stuff.

Note the reviews are 3.4 out of 5. I agree. It had moments. But, the 3 or 4 other "The Hound of the Baskervilles" I've seen were slightly better.

Maybe if I'd not seen the others, I'd have given this version more "points" -- mentally because I did not actually "vote".

The Gorge (2025)

Dumb but entertaining.

An interesting premise that could have been far better utilized.

The Hound of the Baskervilles - 1959. Peter Cushing (as Holmes). Free on Amazon Prime (for Prime Members).

The Best version, so far. Best cast. Best settings. Best story line. Though, other versions had their moments.

Of course, my impressions are unique to me; and, others need not agree. Gee, that rhymes.

Seven episodes is not enough of a show to be worth watching. Until they hit 24 or so, why bother? They might be cancelled at any moment.
