Unfortunately I refuse to purchase this game until From Software removes the stick lodged up their backside and start supporting 21:9 and 32:9 ultrawide displays for this and Elden Ring.

They criminalized users of Elden Ring who modded in support for their monitors by banning them, permanently, from the game on Steam.

No other game company does this.

Some time has passed, and this is what has been in my rotation

RaceRoom Racing Experience -- Everpresent. Ranked leaderboards

F1 25 -- Newest title in Codemasters' F1 series. Probably the best yet.

Stalker SoC Enhanced -- They recently gave owners free enhanced versions of the first three titles. Honestly there's not much here in way of improvement, but it runs nicely and so I played through once again. It's pretty much the same game you played 18 years ago, but without the crashes.

Easy Red 2 -- Fun shooter in the BF42 sort of way.

Total War Attila -- Revisited this one after a number of years. Played through three campaigns, and time to put it back in storage. Good game though, great campaign.

My rotation the last week:

Fallout 76 - over 5k hours in this now and still loving it.

Silent Hill 2 - awesome psychological horror game.

Formula 1 2025 - vastly improved vehicle physics.

Stalker 2 - still collecting artifacts and stashes.

ArmA 3 - Simhq military Mondays have been a staple for me for about 15 years.

I like the feel too, but in which ways are you saying it is improved? Can you list a few examples?

Star Citizen again. There is _nothing_ else like Star Citizen, online. Elite is sorta close, but not really, because so much of Star Citizen is about being on foot and inside your ship. Elite only half does the on foot part, and the interactivity is otherwise quite limited to what Star Citizen offers, even now, and that interactivity leads to emergent gameplay.

I keep trying to get back into Baldur's Gate 3... but... Yeesh. Can't make the game stick.

I've played Fallout 3 multiple times since it came out.

Now, I've pulled one of my "usual stunts".

I was 80hrs into a replay of Fallout 3 (more than half done). Did a restart.

But, first eliminated major added quests that had been added over the years -- went to basic game.

I'm letting the game lead me through "by the hand" -- versus my usual "roam the map randomly" and "handle things as I come across them" style.

Just an experiment -- for the "fun of it".

Apparently a “remastered” Fallout 3 is being worked on. If that turns out to be true then I may get it.

Still playing Elden Ring, playing through NG+ and still enjoying it, going back through Shadow of the Erdtree is great.

Picked up Roadcraft and enjoying it for what it is, I enjoy the building aspect of it rather than being stuck in mud all the time as per their previous titles.

Tried out a month of XBox Gamepass to get a try out of some titles.

Tried out:

Indiana Jones and the great circle.
Stalker 2 Heart of Chernobyl.
Still wakes the deep.
Modern Warfare ?.
Expeditions, kind of Snowrunner sequel.
Snowrunner.

Uninstalled:

Stalker 2. Just didn't grab me. Looks a great game but just not for me.
Modern Warfare ?. Nope, don't even know why I installed it tbh.
Expeditions. Looked like a mobile game version of Snowrunner, tacky and cheap.
Snowrunner. Great potential but not for me, too much "stuck in the mud" for it to be fun.

Still wakes the deep looks promising and having the subtitles switched off and being able to understand the broad Scottish accent is a plus so will return to it.

Indiana Jones looks pretty good, not got far into it but I have fond memories of the movies so will return.

Cancelled my pre-order of Nightreign. As I like to take my time, exploring etc, playing Elden Ring and always solo, the whole premise of this game is the antithesis of what I think I would enjoy so will give it a miss for now, this may change in the future.

I’m nearing the end of “Silent Hill 2”. For anyone who wants to feel like they are playing a suspense/horror movie, this game is for you. The story is very well written.

Woops, forgot MSFS 2024

Sorry I just noticed this question now. The car just “feels right” to me at a visceral level. The car behaves how I expect it to as I’m using my wheel and pedal set up. I’ll be able to provide more detailed info after I’ve put a few more hours into the game.

No worries. Vastly improved physics made me think you had specific things you saw as improved, like mechanical grip, ground effect, slip angles, braking, or whatever. What you're saying is you like the feel a lot better, and I can agree with that, even if some of that is because it's just easier, especially in slow-speed corners.

I’ll be doing a few more time trial laps tonight so I’ll have some kind of assessment to post tomorrow.

Some time has passed and this is what has been in my rotation

-- Ultimate Fishing Simulator. Steam recently put all fishing games on sale so I sifted through them, closed my eyes and pinned the tail on this one. Turns out to be a fine game, if you like fishing. It's a bit grindy, to acquire gear. But the fishing and fighting mechanics are good

-- FarCry 5. Picked this up a few weeks ago and have been having a bash. Still the same formula, but fun to play. Things blow up nicely, there are lots of vehicles and aircraft to use, good weapon variety, and sufficiently wicked antagonists to defeat. There's a ton of content, or at least things to do. Side missions, stashes, story missions, outposts, stunt racing, and more.

Race Room Racing Experience -- Hotlapping for leaderboards. I've been driving this one for a few years now, and had a goal to reach the top tier of drivers, the coveted A rating. Have done so now, after thousands of laps and thousands of dollars, replacing my sim rig with some of the finest gear around, Simucube direct drive base, GSI wheel, Heusinkveld Sprint pedals. I can't imagine being more pleased with some computer peripherals. Top notch quality and performance, and has made me a more rapid and consistent sim racer. It's only money, and well spent, if it finds you another three tenths per lap haha

-- F1 25. Picked this up a few weeks ago and am having a great time with it. Running concurrent careers in My Team and standard driver career, plus dabbling in the F1 World content. The racing's as good as ever, the sim looks great, and the handling is maybe the most predictable and easy to handle yet. No racing sim has ever done career mode better than Codemasters' F1 series. Far and away the best there is. In my opinion, of course.

By the way DBond, Fallout 76 now has a full fledged fishing mechanic. There are daily events now where you can fish and get different types of rewards like upgrades for your fishing pole and reel.

Yeah, I saw that, but the players universally loathe it, it seems.

Interesting since I see plenty of other players fishing whenever I’m on the server.

I`ve been fishing earlier today.

Still need to improve the equipment though. Working on it.

So I have always been curious about this one...

Is the game outrageously anti-conservative, and particularly anti-Christian? Because they do have this rather offensive photo of the Last Supper and that has always given me pause to trying this one.
