I'm still coming to terms with the fact that the X-Files premiered on tv a bit over 30 years ago.

Oh, and the pilot for Babylon 5 (The Gathering) aired 31 years ago......

And who can forget the unaired episode where Yoko Ono tried to take over the ship?
Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as "bad luck.” -Robert Heinlein
Those memes are great and especially the Yoko Ono one.

The rusty wire that holds the cork that keeps the anger in Gives way and suddenly it’s day again The sun is in the east Even though the day is done Two suns in the sunset, hmph Could be the human race is run
If "Star Trek The Next Generation" were a 1960's TV show....

I've seen a picture of Patrick Stewart as Picard wearing a hairpiece, the original intended look for Picard until sense emerged. Looked odd. Not terrible, just odd because of my familiarity with his iconic look.
Edit: Found it

LOL I'm glad the producers didn't stick with that look. That would have been just as bad as keeping those hideous "man skirts" that you see in the pilot episode (Encounter at Farpoint).
