Commando Ninja, a cheesy '80s retro parody action Youtube effort in the vein of Kung Fury and Turbo Kid.

As with those movies there are moments of genius mixed in with some real WTF facepalm, but overall it's entertaining.

I'd post the link but there are boobies along with bad language and some over the top gore.

Just watched The Accountant with Ben Affleck.

Quite good, and Affleck was nicely over the top in his portrayal of Wolff, recognised a few others in the film Jon Bernthal who plays his brother Braxton and also seen in the Punisher TV series, Cynthia Addai-Robinson as Medina or was it Memphis from the Shooter TV series, and Jon Lithgow plays the same character as usual smile

I read also that there is a sequel being made, could be interesting.

The Sherlock Holmes series with Jeremy Brett as Holmes.

Excellent adaptation, quite close to the original stories and Brett was brilliant as Holmes.

Took the wife and grand kids to the cinema today, they seen Ralf Breaks the Internet in 4D they all loved it and the seats and other gimmicks added to the effect. I went to see Aquaman thought it was not too bad and enjoyed the film, it was in the new Laser projection and Dolby Atmos. While the story and acting was fine the projection system left a lot to be desired, it was like looking at a series of still pictures when there was fast panning across scenes going on, my more than 10 year old DLP projector is not noted for it's speed in that kind of scene but it was still better than what I seen today, I will avoid the laser projection from now on.

“Bird Box”.

A decent movie worth watching once but it is nowhere near what the hype would make you believe it is.

I saw a pretty good 80s movie last night--"Less than Zero," loosely based on a Brett Easton Ellis novel of American Psycho fame. Solid capture of the 80s, both the good and the bad. It was nice to relive the time period in theatrical format with surround sound. 80s movies were great, as there was zero political correctness, they pulled no punches, and they weren't afraid to tackle complicated or hard issues without feeling forced or preachy.

"Titans", from DC Universe.

It came out on Netflix (outside the US) this weekend.

It's a grim-dark series set in the style of the Nolan batman movies, and Man of Steel. But then again I like that style over the camp "Arrowverse" shows.

Agreed.I found it waned the last 1/2 hour.
On a side note, Sandra Bullock at 54 is hotter than most 25 yr olds.

Just back from the cinema watching Bohemian Rhapsody, what a moving film really quite enjoyed it and at the same time saddened me about the loss of Freddie. Wasn't expecting much from Rami Malek but he got Freddie's mannerisms down well.
Music was good and the singing was very good, not quite Freddie but very, very, close, when you heard the real Freddie at the end it showed the difference. I kept thinking that Rami was a bit on the short side, the other actors in the group were good look-a-likes and had their mannerisms down well too.
There were some inaccuracies and alterations in the time line.

All in all it was a very good film that I was not really looking forward to seeing but now am really glad I did.

band He dies at the end wink
