To be entirely fair, the second Death Star definitely was in Beta stage.

Well, it DID take out a few capital ships, compared to one unarmed planet...

Come to think of it, the first Death Star whilst out of Beta certainly had a catastrophic bug that the devs never got around to fixing, and to make matters worse not only avoided said bug in version 2.0, but even made it worse...

I enjoyed the stream, at one point there was 1500+ viewers. Those with a keen eye, or a quick hit of the printscreen button, may have noticed the F-5E module on his menu screen.

Think SkateZilla said something about you needing written permission, a vial of your blood and a 3 hour long rain dance to even record it.

Just read that. Wow, just wow. They couldn't even release a recorded version of the EDGE livestream then? Seriously, I'm not sure if ED are familiar with the concept of taking your job seriously, but pro tip: If you happen to live on pretty much the other side of the planet, it's not really viable to make that time if you're working. So thanks for being paranoid about whatever damage could be done by more people seeing something you've got no problem displaying publicly (once only it seems)...

Why would someone need written permission for an open source live stream?

I did not watch it as I was reading an interesting book - theyll release a video later on with the highlights and if they dont they can make a video any day they want to and release it.

There is a Copyright on Twitch feeds its in the Terms of Service.
it was also Stated before and several times during the stream:
DO NOT RECORD, RE-UPLOAD or RE-BROADCAST THIS TRANSMISSION WITHOUT WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM EAGLE DYNAMICS.
This session was a test, anyone who was there from the beginning knows what was going on with the connection/crashes etc.
Future streams would likely be archived for later viewing.
There's a nice in depth thread on MudSpike with images and coverage.
