hi all...i had a power surge andit appears to have fried the boot record on my ssd...neither windows repair, nor anything else, will fix it...if i have to reformat i will lose
my downloaded install...can i get it backor do i have to buy it again?...Oh i do know there is a chance i can rescue it by installing windows to a different hard drive and setting this one up as a slave, and i will try that, i just want to know if i CANT rescue it...

If you want you can install it again through Steam, you do not need to buy it again, he is on your steam library, just open your steam account and install it again. I am used to do it after a new patch been released, then i uninstall it again!

If it was a power surge you might be out the price of a new SSD.

The good news is that you can just re-download the game via steam, and I think that if you had Steam Cloud Sync enabled, you don't even lose your control mappings.
