It's just super that someone delves into the details.
Thank you for this Piston79 Analysis of Dvina !

Nice shot there Piston! Despite that SR-71 wasn't shot down, hitting it was nevertheless a great feat Maybe next time you will manage to hit a missile at a distance less than 100 meters and thus shooting it down.

Target real altitude - 24.0 km sin 18 = 0.309016994 10.6/34 = 0.3117647 if take sin - 24.0/0.309016994 = 77.665 km if take altitude/distance - 24.0/0.3117647 = 76.98 km Which is real, God knows... (in fact we should use data from third launch, but anyway, still have a difference)

Here I am playing Dvina found something else interesting. At the test site Ashuluk simulation EA-6 showing the height of the target for H = 1200 m But in the simulator showing the height of 5 km as possible?

Some addition of "hacking method K"... This guidance method is simply UPR, just adding a Constant "K" into elevation, depending the distance of the missile to the range boresight. If the missile - boresight distance is larger than 10km, it adds 1.2 degree to the elevation boresight. From 10km, it gradually reduces this Constant to 0 degree. (at 5km it is 0.6 degree) So if you want to add 0.6degree elevation at the impact point, to compensate the missile overload capability limitation, than just move the range boresight to the calculated impact distance plus 5km.

Warning, please practice strict emission control... ... or you will face this: 2:00am 15th of April, 1986. Operation El-Dorado Canyon raid against Benghazi.
Targets: Jamahiriyah barracks - 6 A-6E Intruder (VA-34 Blue Blasters from the CV-66 USS America) Benghazi AFB - 6 A-6E Intruder (VA-34 Blue Blasters from the CV-43 USS Coral Sea)
Supporting force: 8 SEAD F/A-18A Hornet (VMFA-314 Black Knights, VMFA-323 Death Rattlers from the CV-43 USS Coral Sea) 2 SEAD A-7E Corsair-II (VA-46 Clansmen, VA-72 Blue Hawks from the CV-66 USS America) 6 CAP F/A-18A Hornet (VFA-131 Wildcats, VFA-132 Privateers from the CV-43 USS Coral Sea) 3 ECM EA-6B Prowler (VAQ-135 Rooks, VMAQ-2 Playboys from both carriers) 1 SIGINT EA-3B Skywarrior (VQ-2 Sandeman from the CV-43 USS Coral Sea) 2 AWACS E-2C Hawkeye (VAW-127 Seabats from the CV-43 USS Coral Sea)
S-75M3 Volkhov
00:03:29, A-7E Corsair-II, VA-46 Clansmen launched AGM-88 HARM missile.
00:03:42, SNR knocked out by HARM.
Total, SNR On Air Time: 28sec Shooting the Habu with Dvina will bee seen as easy money...

this question for Hpasp!
when using Narrow beam, in volhov, and using sector search, exactly how many degree scan the beam in vertical and in horizontal move, it seems no more than 5, true ?

Some addition of "hacking method K"...

If the missile - boresight distance is larger than 10km, it adds 1.2 degree to the elevation boresight. From 10km, it gradually reduces this Constant to 0 degree. (at 5km it is 0.6 degree)
This is important information, thank you! Seems that in ver. 923.0, in jamming enviroment, K became like T/T with 1.2 degrees, and UPR is just like T/T. Still they react on distance boresight. If UPR is based on real target speed, and not angular speed of the target against SNR,I believe that UPR/K behavior in 923.3 is WRONG due to denial of speed and parameter information due to active jaming and must be corrected.

this question for Hpasp! when using Narrow beam, in volhov, and using sector search, exactly how many degree scan the beam in vertical and in horizontal move, it seems no more than 5, true ?That is a special target search method, developed against stealth targets. (As far as I remember, it was not discussed before.) This method is called "Elliptical Search", and by using it, you can search a 5x 5 area with the increased power output of the Narrow Beam.
